Today's Medieval Church: St. George, Reichenau

The former abbey church of Reichenau, built around 900 CE on an island in Lake Constance.

The church is a typical example of the early Romanesque style in Germany, very solid looking.

The church is most famous for its frescoes, rare survivals of 10th century painting. They depict the miracles of Jesus.

Circular panorama here.
