Alberto del Pozo's Santeria Pantheon

Cuban born artist Alberto del Pozo created these lithographs of the Santeria gods in the 1980s. Above is Ogun, the blacksmith god of metal and war. His symbols include the machete and a three-footed iron pot containing nine or 21 metal objects.

Orula, also known as Ifa, is the lord of time and divination.

Echú Eleguá is the messenger of the gods, lord of crossroads, gatekeeper of heaven; he is invoked first in any Santeria ceremony.

Yemayá is the queen of waters and mother of the gods.

Yewa is the queen of death, and she lives in cemeteries.
