Multicellular Life is 2.1 Billion Years Old

On earth, that is. French and African scientists have unveiled fossils from west African rocks that date back 2.1 billion years, more than a billion years earlier than the previous record. These things, whatever they were, ranged in size from 2 to 12 centimeters. More than 250 have been found so far.

They look like something that would wrap around your brain stem and turn you into a zombie under alien control.
